Growing Everbearing Strawberries

March 23, 2010 · Filed Under Home

Strawberries have always been easy growing and in a container. Virtually anyone will be able to raise strawberries, despite the fact that live in a condo you can grow your very own fresh delicious strawberries. Homegrown strawberries taste better than purchased.

Attempt growing strawberries!

Look for a Sunlit Place

Strawberry plants really like sunshine. Look for a decent sunny location for the strawberry box.

If there isn’t a sun-drenched place, don’t worry you’ll be able to still grow strawberries indoors with a special pot.

Step 2

Find A Pot

Choose the container of your choice. Always remember strawberry roots require area to grow so your pot needs to be no less than fourteen inches deep.

You may also grow strawberries in hanging baskets.

Position container within sunlit area and fill up with potting soil.

Step 3

Choosing STRAWBERRY PLANTS

There are two main kinds of strawberries to pick from.

* “June Bearing” will produce strawberries in spring or early summer

* “Everbearing” also called “Day Neutral” will produce from early summer until frost.

I propose selecting everbearing plants but confer with your neighborhood nursery and find what is better in your climate.
