The Brass Tacks for a Bundle of Joy’s Little Room

Though not a necessity, it is a good idea to have a changing station set up. Many parents purchase a changing table for their baby’s nursery. A changing table is a convenient piece of furniture, not only for changing the baby but also for storing baby’s things. You need to have dressers large enough to accommodate the baby’s clothing and outfits. If the space allows, a cozy chair is a nice addition to the nursery and is perfect for late night feedings.

Quality bedding is essential for the infant’s crib, and can be found both online and at baby themed retail stores. Crib bedding makes sense to buy over the Internet, because physical stores can only carry so many sets of bedding for customers to see. The safety of the baby is paramount when choosing bedding. Select sheets and blankets that fit securely over the crib mattress to avoid suffocation, and avoid pillows and heavy quilts entirely. There is a fitted sheet for the bed and loose covering sheet in most baby bedding sets. Choose bedding fabrics such as cotton that will allow your baby’s skin to breath and are natural and won’t irritate the skin.
