Blackout was also known initally as Vortex in leaked first scripts of the 2007 live-action film. Thanks to Hasbro’s lack of trademark on the name, it was later changed to Blackout. Incinerator and Soundwavewere also the other choices before being finalised as Transformers Blackout. As a transformer toy, all names -Vortex, Soundwave, Incinerator and Blackoutare used as toys at one time or another. The Blackout Transformer is by far the most important of the Decepticons, and used to move different fellow Decepticons. He transforms from robot mode to a MH-53M Pave Low IV helicopter. Fortified with arm-mounted Gatling canons and an M134 gatling gunwhilst in helicopter form. He is additionally equipped with missile launchers and energy canonsas well as the electronic-disrupting device blast known as EMP.
